Unified Entry Requirements for Army, Navy & Air Force
Auxiliary Corps Ghana Advisory: We provide pre enlistment mentorship, physical conditioning, and guidance. We do not offer "protocol" or charge fees for enlistment into the Ghana Armed Forces.
📋 General & Branch Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for enlistment in any of the three Services (Army, Navy, or Air Force), all candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Nationality: Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
- Character: Must be of exemplary character with no criminal record or pending legal matters.
- Age Limits:
- Non-Tradesmen / General Duty: 18 to 25 years old at the time of entry.
- Tradesmen / Specialists: 18 to 27 years old at the time of entry.
- Marital Status: Must be unmarried and unbonded.
- Medical Fitness: Must pass the comprehensive GAF medical and psychological examinations across all services.
- General Height Standards:
- Male Candidates: Minimum 1.68m (5’6”)
- Female Candidates: Minimum 1.57m (5’2”)
- (Exception – Military Police across all three branches: Minimum 1.75m / 5’9” for males, 1.70m / 5’7” for females).
- Core Educational Baseline:
- BECE: At least six (6) credits (Grade 6 or better), including English Language and Mathematics.
- WASSCE / SSSCE: At least six (6) passes (Grade C6 or better in WASSCE), including English Language and Mathematics.
⚙️ General Requirements for Specialised Categories (All Three Services)
For candidates applying under specific technical, administrative, or specialist roles across the Army, Navy, or Air Force, the following qualifications apply generally:
- Technical & Engineering Wings:
- In addition to WASSCE passes (Science/Technical options), candidates must hold recognised technical certificates (City & Guilds, GES Technical Examination Unit, NVTI, COTVET, or HND) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Automotive, Civil/Building, or Fabrication Engineering.
- IT/Computing certifications are required or strongly preferred for all modern signal, radar, and communications roles across the three services.
- Supply, Administration & Finance Wings:
- 6 WASSCE passes (Business or Arts streams including English & Math) OR relevant professional certifications (Diploma in Business Studies, RSA III, Stenography GD II, CIPS, or HND in Purchasing & Supply / Accounting).
- Catering, Trades & Domestic Support:
- GES/COTVET Certificate II, Intermediate Certificates, or HND in Hospitality & Catering Management, Tailoring/Fashion Design, or related vocational trades.
- Physical Training & Sports Wings:
- Standard 6 WASSCE passes (including English & Math) plus documented proof of participation as an athlete in at least two sports at the district or regional level.
📌 Universal Application Checklist
- National ID: Ghana Card is compulsory for online registration across all services.
- Academic Verification: Ensure all WASSCE, BECE, and Technical certificates match the names on your official identification.
- Voucher Acquisition: Purchase recruitment scratch cards/vouchers only through officially designated channels (e.g., GCB Bank, Ghana Post offices, or official GAF USSD codes).
- Official Portal: Apply exclusively via the official GAF recruitment portal: apply.mil.gh.
